A few weeks ago, one of the English students at POBLO’s International Friendship Center at Brookfield Lutheran Church heard about Holy Hill during English class. The Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill is a major religious attraction in Wisconsin and draws many visitors every year because of its beauty and serenity.
This student approached me after the English class and asked if we could take a trip to Holy Hill to see the basilica. I agreed, so my wife, Priya, and I organized a trip to the site. In addition to this student, God blessed us with three additional Indian Hindu families who joined us that day.
While we were there, we had several opportunities to talk to these families about Jesus and His loving nature. There were different stations in the basilica with pictures of Jesus that illustrated His death and resurrection story. We shared with the families about Good Friday and Easter, which was the first time many of them had heard the story. After the trip, we invited them to join us for the Easter service at Brookfield Lutheran Church.
Please pray that the Holy Spirit will work in their hearts and that the seeds that were planted will bear much fruit.
