A couple weeks ago, a group from the International Friendship Center (IFC) at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN took a field trip to a local family farm. In total, around 70 IFC students from Brazil, China, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan, as well as IFC volunteers, visited the farm. The farm is owned by the parents of one of the IFC volunteers. They raise more than three acres of gladiolus annually and give them away to hospitals and nursing homes in the area. During the visit, the family gave us a tour of their property. The IFC group got to see the barn and even ride on their tractors! At the end of the field trip, the family gave each family a bouquet of flowers to take home with them. What a fun time!
