to explore and discover the nations “on our doorstep”. After wandering through the exquisitely decorated tables, each representing the nation of the hostess, new friends were made as we sampled the culinary delights spanning the globe from the Middle East to Europe, North to South and Central America and the Near and Far East. We then sat back to be entertained with colorful and graceful traditional dances from Mexico, Bangladesh and Indonesia. Again we were delighted to welcome the Grace Dance Ensemble bringing a ballet lifting up the Lord Jesus Christ. Our speaker this year was Lori Wagner of Affirming Faith reminding us that the reason we must value our purity and our relationships is because of the price that was paid for each one of us, the death of Jesus Christ. Over 40 different countries were represented in the very moving “Parade of Nations” led by Sgt. Abbie Brown. Nations Light Liz Doyle moderated the event and closed this both patriotic and spiritual event with “God Bless America” and a prayer for the Nations represented, families in the USA and abroad.
Our thanks to all who helped to make this event possible. Special thanks to Cross of Christ Lutheran Church for hosting this event.
